This is a dish I always make when i have guests. It is a humble dish, chicken feel contain no meat, but i feel like it can bring people together. The hot, spicy taste from the spices and marinate makes it all better. It is a perfect dish for a gathering. You can wash it all down with a cold beer. Chicken feet are not easy to prepare, but once you get the hang of it, I’m sure it won’t be a problem. For a small family gathering, I usually make 10-15 chicken feet, a little goes a long way, you don’t need too much to feed everyone.

Ingredients: (for about 10-12 chicken feet)

   – 2 tbs of salt
   – 2 tbs ginger
   – 2tsp fish sauce
    – 1 tbs dried shrimps
    – 1 tb minced garlic
    – 1/4 tsp ground pepper
    – 1/2 tsp sugar

 How to make

– Wash chicken legs. Add salt and ginger  and squeeze chicken legs for about 10 minutes, then rinse. This way is to deodorize chicken feet. Marinate chicken legs with fish sauce, satay, chopped garlic, ground pepper and sugar. Time to marinate at least 1 hour, so 2-3 hours is the best for the marinate to soak into the chicken feet.

– If you use the oven, place chicken legs on the baking tray with aluminum foil. Turn on the oven at 180 degrees C, bake chicken legs until the chicken legs are cooked brown, you also need to turn the chicken legs to bake evenly.

–  If you grill with charcoal, it will give the best results. You just need to skewchicken legs on  the meat skewer, grill until the chicken legs are cooked and and golden brown and have a nice aroma. However, it is not always easy to grill with coal
